Montana State University - Northern occurs as state university, part of the Montana State University System, located in Harve, Montana (USA). It was at one time referred to as Northern Montana College. A select few Havrites jokingly refer to that when "Harvard on the Hill". A men's athletic teams come nicknamed a Lights & a women's athletic teams come nicknamed a Fanlight. It compete in the NCAA's Frontier Conference.
